Are we surprised Trump won?

Astrologically, no. The man’s Ascendant conjunct Maghā Yogatāra (Regulus) in Leo with Mars, and his very high trekka dignity for Mars, and very high overall Triṁśa dignity, all show a person who is almost impervious to any attack or mistake. (I’ll explain more on that astrology gradually in the months to come). Since 2020 I have noted that there is almost no way for him to lose, even when he loses (see, for example: https://youtu.be/31dnwM2G3OQ). And with the recent entry of Mars into Leo right near the eve of election, I would have been completely shocked if Kamala Harris won.

That doesn’t mean the non-astrologer part of my brain isn’t shocked that American people elected Trump again. I am. My reflexive emotional reaction is to be baffled. But as I talked it out with my family, friends, and inner machines of mind, this is what I realized:

America loves Hollywood. Freddy Krueger. Trump orchestrated an attack on the capital? Great! We love that stuff! Give us something to pump our fists and shout about! Not some sophisticated intellectual speech with proper grammar. Give us fear! Give us adrenaline! Of course Americans prefer Donald Trump to Kamala Harris.

America loves Boobs. Stormy Daniels can’t tarnish Trump’s image, even in sermons and churches. 26 Allegations of sexual assault? Probably fake news. Women’s rights are complicated, complex issues. Babies and boobies are not. Right to life and right to porn! Of course we are going to vote Trump over Harris.

America loves football, boxing, wrestling. Give us cowboys. Give us Hulk Hogan. America loves guns (more, it seems, than it loves its own children). America loves power and force, so of course Americans prefer Donald Trump to Kamala Harris.

America loves enemies (You can’t fight if you don’t have an enemy). We don’t want “unity.” Yawn. We want black hats and white hats! Saints and sinners! Angels and demons! Trump gives us that. Harris does not.

Above all else: America loves money. We have a dream, and, let’s face it, It’s not Dr. King’s. We dream of money! A lot. of. money. America has values. We value ambition. We value enterprise. We value greed. Give us billionaires, not intellectuals. Give us Donald Trump, not Kamala Harris.
