Revati is fundamentally about nourishing things. So it is mostly about mothering and parenting, as well as caring for dependents, unfortunates, and non-threatening animals, and sustainable, respectful agriculture.
How well are we, as a human race, doing those things? In my opinion, extremely, extremely poorly.
Aries is quite the opposite of Revatī. It represents individuality, freedom, ambition, and so forth. Stereotypically we can say Aries is extremely male archetype and Revatī is extremely female. So if Revatī is in Aries, it messes up the clarity of Aries’ masculinity, for the segment of degrees it overlaps, and Aries even more strongly (since masculinity is a more dominant energy) messes up the clarity of Revatī’s femininity.
When would Revati have begun overlapping with Aries?
Let’s assume the zero-year for citrapakṣa ayanāṁśa is 291AD. That would have been the last year in which absolutely none of Revatī was in Aries, all of it was in Pisces. From 291, each year 50.4 arc seconds more of Revatī would recess into Aries. Every 500 years would move Revatī 7° further into Aries. So by 791 more than half of Revatī was in Aries.
Note that this period of history was very dark, with a lot of malnutrition and disease. This is one expected outcome of introducing the muddling of Revatī with Aries.
The entirety of Revatī would have come into Aries, leaving none left in Pisces, a little less than 500 years later, so around 1200AD. From that point we can say the decline of Revatī ceased. And hence the dark ages started to lighten and stabilize now.
But from this period on, society headed towards industrialization, which drove population into cities and away from farms – which eventually caused the loss of the extended family, and all the security for child-rearing that came with it. All this is very characteristic of Revatī being entirely overlapped with Aries.
Revatī will not begin to recess into Taurus for about 280 more years, but when it does we can expect a decline of industrialization, and a coresponding rise of natural agriculture, depopulation of urban centers, enabling extended family units, and thus making child-rearing easier and more nurturing, which in turn generates a healthier, happier population.
