Rajju Kuta: “The Ropes” Compatibility

QUESTION:
In Compatibility based on Nakshatras, there’s a specific index known as Rajju or Ropes, which you include in the Compatibility Report that you offer. Does Rajju obtain only when the Moons of two individuals are in the same Nakshatra? For instance, my Moon is in Bharani, so would Rajju only manifest if my partner’s Moon is also in Bharani? This being the case in point, could you please illuminate the concept of Rajju? I ask this because I came across a section on it in Svoboda’s book entitled Light On Relationships, which has left me somewhat confused.

People can obtain the compatibility report you are referring to, at this link.

The Interpretation

Rajju looks for an astrological indication of co-dependency – an unhealthy version of mutual lack of independence in a couple. In this, when a problem affects one partner, it also affects the other, making them unable to really help the other. There is a weird push-and-pull dynamic: One partner gets sad, and the other gets sad by trying to help them. The first recovers but now has to help the second. The second recovers, but now the first is drained and sad again.

Rajju means “ropes”. The idea is that if we are tied to a person who falls, we also fall. If we are tied to a person who moves left, we are pulled left as well.

These “ropes” can be “tied” to five different parts of the body.

Feet – symbolizes trying to “move” in different directions, i.e. having different, non-complementary goals in life. When one partner moves closer to their goal, the other partner is dragged further from theirs, and visa versa.

Hips – symbolizes different attitudes towards spending and saving money. What one partner wants to invest in, drains the other’s ability to invest in what they prefer.

Womb – symbolizes different creative and sexual inclinations. What stimulates one partner turns the other off.

Neck – symbolizes speech and communication problems. When one partner expresses themselves, the other feels muffled and silenced. They c

Head – symbolizes decision making problems. When one partner thinks through a problem, it excludes the other from the process. They do not think and reason well together as a team.

The Astrology

Each nakshatra correlates to one of those five body parts.

If two people have the same astrological point (conventionally, the Moon) in nakshatras of the same body-part, “the rope” forms between them. For example, if your Moon is in Bharani you will develop “co-dependent push-pull from the hips” with people who have Moon in any hips-nakshatra: Bharani, Pushya, P.Phalguni, Anuradha, P.Ashadha, and U.Bhadrapada.
